Warrant Officer Advanced Common Core (WOACC DL)

Overview

The Warrant Officer Advanced Common Core (WOACC) Distributed Learning (DL) is an 18-hour, mandatory nonresident professional military education course consisting of 11 common core lessons that build upon the skills, knowledge, and experiences developed through previous training and assignments.

WOACC DL provides CW2s and junior CW3s with instruction focused on sharpening communication, leadership, and staff skills needed to serve in company and higher-level positions. The course must be completed within one year of enrollment and prior to attending the resident (branch and/or proponent) Warrant Officer Advanced Course (WOAC).

• ✓Common core instruction (11 lessons) designed to build on prior training and operational experience
• ✓Communication skills for company and higher-level staff environments
• ✓Leader development and leader behaviors aligned to warrant officer responsibilities
• ✓Staff processes and staff skills supporting tactical and operational organizations
• ✓Integration of technical expertise in support of commanders and organizational mission execution

Eligibility

• ✓Chief Warrant Officers in grades CW2 and junior CW3 (PME requirement)
• ✓Required course of PME for CW2 officers in accordance with AR 350-1

Prerequisites

• ✓Enrollment in WOACC DL
• ✓Completion required prior to attending resident (branch/proponent) WOAC training

Additional Information

• ✓Mandatory nonresident course comprised of common core instruction and tied to branch-specific resident training
• ✓Course must be completed within one year of enrollment
