Overview

Warrant officers are technical experts and leaders who manage and maintain increasingly complex systems, lead and train functional sections, teams, or crews, and serve as critical advisors to commanders.

They provide leader development, mentorship, and counsel to other warrant officers, officers, NCOs, and Army Civilians, enhancing the Army’s ability to fight and win across modern operational environments.

Eligibility

Eligibility for warrant officer accession and education is governed by Army selection and appointment processes. Candidates who successfully complete Warrant Officer Candidate School (WOCS) are appointed as Warrant Officer One (WO1).
